2019 O’Neill Scholarships to support elder service studies

Applications are now being accepted for 2019 O’Neill Scholarships.

Open to graduating seniors at Cambridge Rindge & Latin and Somerville High School, $1,000 O’Neill Scholarships are available for students with experience and interest in healthcare, advocacy and policies that promote well-being of senior citizens. Applicants must also demonstrate academic achievement and need for financial aid.

Interested seniors from Somerville High and Cambridge Rindge and Latin School should contact their school counseling office for information on how to apply. The deadline for applications is Feb. 15, 2019.

The O’Neill Scholarship Fund was established in 2017 to honor retiring Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services director John O’Neill and his lifelong dedication to ensuring that older people have options to stay healthy and remain in their homes.
