The Cambridge Council on Aging invites older adults to experience meditation, through regular drop-in classes.
Participants will learn the basic elements of meditation and Reiki. Meditation practices the element of mindfulness, which is being in the moment and being aware of your personal state. In Reiki, the instructor calls upon the element of universal energy, and the laying on of hands (optional).
The class is followed by a brief participant-led discussion.
Classes are for older adults (60-plus) and there is a $3 charge per class.
The classes are Wednesdays from 9 to 10 AM at the North Cambridge Senior Center, 2050 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge.
