Dear Friend,
I hope this letter finds you safe and well during this very difficult time. I am writing to provide you with some updates about how SCES is here to serve you and your needs.
SCES is Open We are here for you. Most of our employees are now working remotely. If you have a question, please call your case manager or call our main number 617.628.2601.
Nutrition We remain committed to providing home delivered meals to those who need them. We have added many new clients to meet new needs. While our ethnic and vegetarian meals are still being delivered hot, our standard meals are now being delivered frozen. If you would like to receive daily deliveries, or have any additional needs, please call your case manager.
SCES Calling Our staff have enjoyed many good conversations when we have called to check in with you. These calls have also helped us to identify a need for regular friendly phone calls for those who feel isolated.
In-Home Services During this statewide surge in the numbers of people with Coronavirus, you may want to put non-essential services, such as housekeeping or laundry, on hold. Please contact your case manager if you would like to make a change in your services.
Protective Masks The state is requiring face masks or cloth face coverings in public spaces were social distancing is not possible. Our meals delivery and in-office staff all wear masks when working. Our providers have been instructed to have their staff use masks when working with you. If you need to leave your home and would like a mask, please contact your case manager.
Aging Information As always, feel free to call our Aging Information line – 617.628.2601 – with any questions, or you can email us at info@eldercare.org. We look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Paul Hollings
Executive Director
