Elder food supplement program needs monthly volunteers

Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services (SCES) is seeking volunteers to help with food deliveries for local older adults.

The SCES Commodity Supplemental Food Program is a volunteer powered program that provides two bags of groceries monthly for eligible older adults in Cambridge and Somerville.

Volunteers are needed to help with loading bags and delivering groceries, which are delivered at the Arts at the Armory (191 Highland Avenue in Somerville) on the first Tuesday of each month. Pickup times are between 8:30 to 9:30. a.m. The average time commitment is 2-3 hours.
