Our experts guide individuals and families through the sometimes confusing maze of home care service options and government programs.

For Elders

Counselors provide free short-term information and education to older adults. They can help identify services to maximize your independence and quality of life. Call 617-628-2601. ext. 3151.

For Caregivers

Social workers offer caregivers information about services and provide educational programs and short-term individual or family consultation. Qualified caregivers can earn a monthly stipend.

LGBT Resources

We offer a monthly LGBT dinner at S&S restaurant in Cambridge called Kate’s Cafe. We also have a list of LGBT meal sites in Massachusetts and a local resource guide specific to the needs of LGBT older adults.

Medicare Support

Our SHINE program offers free information and assistance regarding health insurance and benefits to older adults, Medicare beneficiaries with disabilities, and their caregivers.  Some SHINE Counselors are agency staff and some are volunteers.
