Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services (SCAT) is spreading some holiday cheer, with some help from our partners at Somerville Cable Access Television (SCAT).
Nine SCES employees recently visited SCAT to film a short holiday greeting. SCES Director of Outreach and Community Relations Nathan Lamb said it was a lot of fun, and capped a great year of collaboration between the two local organizations.
“The video came out beautifully, and the folks at SCAT were great to work with, as always,” said Lamb. “We’ve really enjoyed working with SCAT to inform people about our programs and services over the past year, and we’re looking forward to continuing that in 2017.”
SCES produces a monthly talk show, Aging Well, at the SCAT studios. Hosted by Lamb, the program features advice from agency experts on a wide variety of topics related to aging, disability and caregiving.
Episodes in 2016 covered topics such as hospital to home checklist, signs of elder abuse, SCES volunteer programs, and Adult Foster Care. All can be viewed at the agency Youtube channel.
Aging Well airs on SCATV Channel 3 on Sundays at 10am, Mondays at 7:30am and Tuesdays at 1pm.
