Harvard Employees Credit Union supports elder services

Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services (SCES) is pleased to announce that the Harvard University Employees Credit Union (HUECU) is donating $10,000 to support local elder services.

The funds will benefit programs that rely on local revenues to provide services for older adults in Cambridge and Somerville, said SCES Executive Director Paul Hollings.

“We are so grateful for the support of the Harvard University Employees Credit Union,” said Hollings. “Local support gives us more flexibility when it comes to providing help where it is needed most. We deeply appreciate the Harvard University Employees Credit Union helping us provide this vital assistance for our older neighbors.”

SCES programs that rely on local revenues include emergency assistance, Hospital to Home support, behavioral health support through the CONNECT program, and volunteer programs such as Money Management Assistance, Medical Escorts, and Friendly Visitor.

“We are honored to support non-profit organizations like SCES and the important work they are doing,” said HUECU President/CEO Craig Leonard. “They have a tremendous positive impact on the quality of life for members of our community, and we are proud to contribute to that effort.”
