Do You Know a Senior Who Needs A Ride? The Volunteer Escort Transportation Program of Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services (SCES) offers rides to seniors who find it difficult to use public transportation. Volunteer drivers provide rides to a variety of local destinations; however, trips to medical appointments are given priority.
Rides can be scheduled by calling 617-628-2601 and asking for extension 3118. Requests should be made at least 10 days in advance. This program is made possible with a generous grant from the Cambridge Homes Fund.
