Concerned about changes you have noticed in a loved one’s memory? The Metro East Alzheimer Partnership is providing valuable answers with Conversations about Dementia, a free seminar with Dr. Paul Raia on Saturday, May 7 from 9:30 am to 12:30 p.m. at 163 Gore St in Cambridge.
Dr. Raia has over 30 years of experience providing patient and family support through his work at the Alzheimer’s Association. Topics for the discussion will include:
- How should I begin the conversation with my loved one?
- How can I get my Mom or Dad to accept help?
- What options are available for support?
- What if my family members don’t agree that there is a problem?
Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services (SCES) is supporting the event as a member of the Metro East Alzheimer Partnership, and will have two programs running exhibit booths at the event:
Adult Family Care a government-funded program that supports live-in caregivers and Community Living Options, a private-pay program that provide one-stop shopping for home-based supports and services across much of the North Shore and Greater Boston Area.
The Metro East Alzheimer Partnership is an official Partnership of the Alzheimer’s Association. For More information about the partnership, email rrobinson@challiance.org.
