SCES providing rides to vaccination sites for older adults

Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services (SCES) is offering free transportation, via one of SCES’ transportation providers, for local older adults to COVID-19 vaccination sites in Cambridge, Somerville and adjacent communities.

SCES is encouraging those who are eligible to get vaccinated, and we do not want transportation to be an obstacle for the people we serve. If you are an older adult (age 60 and up) from Cambridge or Somerville, and you need a ride to your vaccination site, please give us a call!

We ask that you call well ahead of the appointment, so that we can connect you with a transportation option, and you can plan the most convenient travel time for yourself.  Masks will be required during transportation.

Visit the State’s website at www.mass.gov/coronavirus for the latest information on eligibility and vaccine sites, or call the Massachusetts Vaccine Scheduling Resource Line at 2-1-1.

All vaccine locations currently require appointments, and it may take several weeks to get one.

For more information about the SCES vaccination transportation program, or to register for a ride, call SCES at 617-440-0995 or email info@eldercare.org.
