Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services is committed to meeting the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) older adults.

The SCES LGBT Task Force provides ongoing staff education and training regarding LGBT issues, and ongoing outreach efforts to LGBT older adults, caregiver, families and community agencies. Our mission is to increase awareness and visibility of the LGBT older adult community.

Kate’s Café

A monthly dinner for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) seniors, caregivers and friends.

When: Fourth Wednesday of every month, 5-7 pm
Where: S&S Restaurant, 1334 Cambridge Street, Inman Square/Cambridge
Cost: $12 suggested voluntary donation for adults 60 years of age and older (everyone can participate regardless of a donation), $20 cost for adults under 60

Parking: Plenty of parking in S&S Restaurant lots & street
Getting There:
MBTA Bus 68, 69, 83, 91 stops nearby. Transportation is available upon request for Cambridge and Somerville residents 60 and over who have difficulty taking public transportation or The Ride.
