Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services, Inc. (SCES), the Area Agency on Aging for Somerville and Cambridge, is responsible for developing the Area Plan on Aging in accordance with the Older Americans Act and associated regulations, policies, and procedures outlined by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The Plan includes prioritization of needs and strategies to develop a comprehensive and coordinated network of services for older adults within Somerville and Cambridge.
Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services has released its draft Area Plan on Aging, 2026-2029, in accordance with the Older Americans Act of 1965, as amended. To promote transparency and encourage public participation, Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services seeks feedback from consumers, stakeholders, and partners to help shape goals, strategies, and services envisioned for older adults and their family caregivers across Somerville and Cambridge.
The draft Plan will be posted for public comment from June 3 to July 3, 2025. Stakeholders are encouraged to review the draft, available here, and submit feedback by emailing: eliza.adams@eldercare.org or by calling: 857-997-8417.
